About Doulas In Bath

Chaya Bamber

Chaya Bamber (formally Chaya Tagore) founded Positive Birth in 2001 after receiving a small grant from the Community Champions Fund. She has worked as a doula for friends and trained with Dr Michel Odent in 1999. She lives in Bath with her daughter, Boudicca, and husband Rob. She is an active member of the local National Childbirth Trust branch and is currently training to be a Breastfeeding Counsellor with them. She works with teenage parents as a Connexions Personal Adviser. -

Heather Reed

Heather is the mother of 5 children and grandmother of 2. She lives in Bath and has been working as a Birth Doula for over 5 years. She too has trained with Dr Michel Odent. -

Sara Cockburn

Sara has been a Doula since training with Michel Odent in 2005. She is a mother of 4 children and offers birth and/or post-natal support. -

Liz Young

Liz lives south of Bath, in Midsomer Norton. She has actively been a doula since 2002, when her passion led her to train with BOND. Liz has first hand experience of medicalised and more natural water birth. Liz strongly believes in a woman's ability to birth naturally. She will respect and support the choices a woman makes, to enable her to gain a positive birth experience for all the family. -

Noreen Hart

Noreen Hart has been involved in childbirth as an NCT antenatal teacher, tutor and birth supporter (Doula) for over 20 years. By supporting, observing and witnessing the impact of childbirth she believes passionately that a positive and empowering experience can make a real difference to how we feel about ourselves and how we go on to parent our babies. Noreen is the mother of four sons and grandmother to Isabella. -
