So much of the bonding process between mother and baby, and the understanding of babies, their needs and well-being comes through touch. Baby massage is a simple way to relax and calm your baby. It helps to keep a baby’s body temperature and heart rate stable and reduces stress. It also aids the release of oxytocin, a bonding hormone beneficial for both you and your baby. Chaya has been teaching baby massage since 2014. She will teach you in the comfort and familiar surroundings of your own home, either on a one to one basis or as a group activity with other new mothers. Perhaps you could get together with mothers you met on your antenatal course. It’s a great way to stay in contact with other mums who are going through the same highs and lows that you are. Each session lasts just over an hour and runs for five consecutive weeks at the same time and same place each week. Chaya will make sure that the sessions are useful, practical, informative and above all fun for mothers and babies.
Host a baby massage course in your own home in Bath: This costs £240 – £290, approximately £40 per adult for groups with a minimum of six or a maximum of eight mothers plus babies. Travelling expenses additional.
Chaya is also able to host your group of 5 mums to learn baby massage at her home in central Bath (near Sainsburys) . This 5 week course would cost £200.
